I am quite girlie: good at putting on make-up, style my hair pretty decently most the time, can cook, walk in heels often, and most other girie jazz.
I am horribly ungirlie in:
- I do not nor ever will wax my legs or bikini area. Too much hassle and the pain is a huge turn-off for me.
- Painting my nails perfectly...I always have polish outside the nail area that I must "clean up".
-Keeping my legs shaved all the time. I only shave them if they will be seen or they start to bug the heck out of me...so about once every two weeks in winter time. Summertime and spring I shave them more often because they will be seen in shorts/skirts.
-I cannot do a "smokey eye" to save my life. I make a mess of it. My eyelids actually do not show that much so eyeliner pencil ends up on my upper eyelid because of it resting on the lower to lashline. I have to use liquid eyeliner because of this and am a wiz using that.
- Acting girlie enough for most guys. They always think I am too brainy. They get drawn in by my girlie appearance and giggle...and mild flirting then freak out when I start talking to them because "I know a lot of stuff." I actually had a guy friend once say to me "I could never date you because you require men to think." I kid you not. So I may look all girlie but I seem to not live up to my girlie appearance, to men at least.

A good partner interests, challenges and makes their partner see more in the world than they did before. I know which I'd rather be

I know which I'd rather be Oh I agree. I would rather be more...it just makes the "dating and relating" a lot more complicated when the guy backs way off after finding out I am intelligent. I guess a lot of guys are just looking for 'easy' in all levels of a woman's personality. So frustrating.

I, too, am bad at walking in heels, frequently neglect shaving, chip my nail polish, & am terrified of curling irons. I bite my nails. Most days I wear jeans, a hoody, flats, and a scarf. I rarely wear dresses, but every once in awhile the mood strikes. Can't cook for the life of me I've actually been trying to get in the habit of eating at home more, both to be healthy and save money. It's really hard. Never ironed. Can't sew. Mess up my clothes when I do laundry (which is rare). So not domestic! I guess the one thing I have done is gotten a brazilian wax. I have a really good lady that does it for not too much money and she's hilarious, too, so that's part of why I do it. And it's just nice to have it feel so smooth and not have to worry about bumps and stuff! But LORDY does it hurt.

There are tons of things that i just cannot bring myself to do although it seems most girls do them. Wearing heels is one. I cant walk in them and i dont see why anyone would want to stand in pain for hours on end.
I fail terribly at most domestic tasks. I have to wash my dishes twice because i don;t seem to 'get' cleaning them first time. This goes for most cleaning duties.
I cannot and will never be able to iron. I burn myself every time i try and seem to iron more wrinkles in than out. I worked as an au pair once, and part of my job was to iron once a week. As i was so bad at it the family got a professional tailor in to teach me how to do it properly. She couldn't. Neither could one of the other au pair girls in the village. I will never learn!
Im ok with make up, but i fail at styling hair. I have been asked by boys 'but cant all girls do some generic simple hair styles on themselves?'. Nope, i cant!

I also suck at styling my hair. Even a simple thing as putting my hair in a ponytail often ends up being crooked, has bumps, hairs sticking out.. I always have to ask my mom if I want my hair in a braid.. sad to admit, yes I need my mom to do my hair. Of course curling is waaay too difficult for me as well.
Make-up is alright, but I've never mastered the art of drawing a pencil line on the edge of your eyelid against your lash, it always ends up being too thick or not straight. Very difficult to do.
Waxing is also not for me, razor all the way! In my late teens I did a waxing experiment 'down there', I wanted to look good for sexy time with that special man. I managed to pull off about half an inch before squeeling my head off, that stuff hurts like hell! It was also bleeding. Since then, I neeeever want to do that again. Not worth it!

My mom used to call me "hair retarded" for a good several years (in jest). Not by any means the kindest phrase, but it summed up my styling skills pretty well.

I have no idea how to walk in heels. The last time I tried, I broke my little toe in three places.

- I always get one eye with a perfect cat eye liner and the other ends up looking like a total mess. - I don't wax my legs or lady bits at all. My legs get shaved when I use dresses, shorts or skirts and I'm not wearing black tights. - I try to act girlie, but I just can't. My guy friends certainly don't help with this. - I'm a total fashion fail, I do love looking at the pretty pictures but my closet is jeans, t-shirts, hoodies and converse. - I learned how to apply makeup until college, and I just learned that you can use more than 1 eyeshadow colour at the same time.
